How To Apply for a Grant
Please review foundation guidelines to ensure your organization meets our criteria, then call the Foundation's Executive Director, Carolyn Maier, at (406) 240-6353. We will be glad to provide you with further details on the grant making process. After preliminary screening, you will be given a password providing access to our application form. A site visit may be scheduled during our formal review.
For organizations that have been previously funded, it is advised that you also contact the Foundation before beginning a grant application, as our funding priorities and requirements may change.
Grants are awarded semi-annually. Each submission must be postmarked by April 30 or October 31. Applications postmarked after these dates will be processed during the next funding cycle. Foundation representatives carefully review each application. The Foundation discourages personal interviews with individual Foundation Directors.
Grants are awarded only in writing and any indication of interest expressed by a Foundation representative shall not be construed as a commitment in support of the request. The Board of Directors makes all final funding decisions.
